Frankie’s Sausage, founded by Frankie Marckisotto and Michael Conte, is a family-owned & operated business located in the Sharpsburg neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA. Our focus is the production & distribution of Italian sausage for both the retail and wholesale markets.
Our sausage recipe has been in the Marckisotto family for over 60 years and has sold successfully, in various grocery stores during this period. Never officially as its own explicit brand, the Marckisottos produced and sold their Italian sausage as independent grocery store owners, under a private label.
Our fathers, both of Italian descent, naturally shared the love and passion for cooking and eating Italian food. This love would foster dreams of going into the Italian food business with their sons. Unfortunately, these dreams were cut short, as both men succumbed to cancer much too early. Frankie & Michael have always shared their fathers’ desire to become entrepreneurs and would argue that they are even more motivated and equipped today!
